Name that frog!

HIPpies! We need your help!

For the last four years, our HIPpy frog has represented us so well. Now, it’s time to name our frog and it’s going to be all up to you! Help us name the frog, and you could win a HIPpy merchandise package plus $500!

We’re looking for a name that reflects HIPpy’s values: hope, optimism, inclusiveness, and positivity. Entries will be judged on creativity, memorability, and universal appeal. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

The first round of our contest ends on February 5, 2021. Our panel of judges will narrow down the entries to two names, which will be announced on February 8. The public will then have the opportunity to vote for the winning name on Instagram and Facebook. With the help of your votes, our frog’s new name will be announced February 15.

Once you complete the form below, be sure to like, comment, and tag a friend on the HIPpy RIBBIT-ing Name Game post on Instagram and/or Facebook and include #namethefrog. You must complete this step for your entry to be valid.

The rules.

After 4 years of representing us so valiantly, it’s time to give our frog a name!  We are open to all ideas so we would like to hear from everyone, young and old, from BC and all corners of the globe. Here’s how it works:

  1. Go to our website, imahippy.org, and visit our social media @hippyhiphealth so you get a good idea of what we do and what our frog represents.

  2. We want names that reflect HIPpy’s values of hope, optimism, fun, positivity, inclusiveness, and youth. We will give everyone who sends in an entry a fair shake, but we also reserve the right to nullify entries that we deem inappropriate.

  3. If you get some inspiration, submit your entry by clicking the ‘Name That Frog!’ button above. If you are a minor, please make sure your parent or guardian signs your entry form.

  4. Once you send in your entry, like, comment, and tag a friend on the HIPpy RIBBIT-ing Name Game post on Instagram and/or Facebook and include #namethefrog. You must complete this step for your entry to be valid.

  5. Deadline for all entries is February 5, 2021. No late entries are accepted.

  6. No purchase or payment is necessary to enter the contest.

  7. A panel of judges will decide the top three entries based on the following criteria:

    • Creativity

    • Memorability

    • Universal appeal 

   The panel of judges is composed of the following HIPpy experts:

  • Dr. Kishore Mulpuri - UBC Head of Orthopaedics, Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon, BC Children’s Hospital

  • Regina Wilken - I’m A HIPpy Executive Director

  • Wendy Hartley - PR expert and HIPpy Board Director

  • Christina Gonzales - Founder/Owner of 7AD Advertising Agency and Creator of I’m A HIPpy name

  • Caden Teneycke - I’m A HIPpy Ambassador

The top two options will be announced on February 8, and the HIPpy community will vote on the final name. The winning name will be announced on February 15, 2021.
